School/College and major: WVU Tech, studying Printing Management
What are your general interests and activities?: Beyond going to school, I enjoy arts and crafts (both making and looking), reading when I get the rare chance, and, in the words of my friends, being "Suzy Homemaker."
Let's hope you know what Vineyard Vines is. What are some of your favorite items, and what do you own(or wish you did?): My turtle mini tote! I also have the drinks and unmbrellas sash. I would love a pair of the flip flops, though, and one of the blazers.
What do you see yourself doing as a career, and where do you see yourself in 10 years?: Next Feb., I will be taking the LSAT, and hopefully in 10 years will be a lawyer for a printing firm.
Who makes the best polo, Ralph Lauren, Lilly, Vineyard Vines, J. Crew, or someone else?: Lacoste. Hands down.
What kind of bag/tote do you usually carry? What are your favorites that you own?: For School, my Vera tote in Nantucket Navy, or a sorority tote. As a purse, my petal pink Lucy or Nantucket Navy (my favorite pattern!) Maggie. Going out..it depends. I've used everything from Vera's Luxe wristlet to a vintage gold clutch I got from my grandma.
Who makes the best flip flops, J. Crew, Eliza B., Vineyard Vines, or someone else?: I adore my Rainbows, but I also really love Old Navy's flip flops. You can get them in every color!
What is the best place you have ever traveled to or vacationed at, and why?: Alaksa. I have a lot of family up there, so I love to go visit them. My uncle is a part-time commercial fisherman, so I sometimes go out to fish with him. It really stinks, but it's so fun! He always lets me pick out which fish I want for dinner.
What is your favorite casual outfit? Dressier outfit?: Casual outfit, usually just a nice t-shirt or polo, some jewelry, jeans, and a great pair of flats. Dressy, I have this really great strapless navy blue dress that I dress up depending on the season. Shoes also depend on the season, right now I'm wearing some gold peep-toes.
How do you feel about Abercrombie, Hollister, AE, and Aeropostale?: I occasionally find something I like in them, usually AE (they have nice, simple tees that come in a lot of colors that are cheap!)Abercrombie and Hollister I can't stand. Aeropostale sometimes carries cute stuff with turtles (my sorority mascot!) that I get out of there.
How do you feel about popped collars?: They're okay. However, the only people around my school who wear them are the overly-tan, bleached blondes who work at Hollister. That ruined us for the few true preps at my school.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?: Loyalty is my biggest strength, and I will go to the ends of the earths to help and protect my friends. My weakness is that I really don't know how to stand up for myself.
If you could only shop at one store for the rest of your life, what would it be, and why?: J. Crew.
If you won your choice of any car, regardless of price, what would you pick?: '63 Impala convertible. Red with white interior.
What kind of house would you like to have, and how would it be decorated?:
A house on the coast somewhere in the Carolinas. I like the usual beach house colors, like red, white and blue, but I also really like rich tropical colors. I love seersucker, and if I had my way, I'd slipcover the house in it!
Tell me something embarrassing about yourself, or something that makes you different: I run my school's underground newspaper.
Describe what it means to be a true prep, and why you are or are not one: Being Prep is all about attitude. While it doesn't really doesn't mean looking down on people (which, you gotta admit, we all sometimes do...ecspecially people who wear Hollister.), you do have a confidence about yourself that is sorta uncommon nowadays, and lets people think that we are snobs. I don't think you have to be raised Prep (I really wasn't, although I did go to Catholic School), but you can make the decision to become prep. It's all about a lifestyle!
